Throughout the years, I’ve been involved in different online projects, games, communities, etc…It seems to me that all of these communities have a lifespan, which means they will die at some point. Many times, the life of the project is dead, but the community members prop it up. The same thing happens in RL as well as online.
The truth is that we stay longer than we would because of the relationships we have made in the process. The meeting point for these relationships is the location of the project. The goal of Dawning Empire is to create a point of contact for the people we would lose contact with when the projects are over.
I hope we can help strengthen small communities that we are involved with as well as introduce each other to new things.
I have an email account setup for new users to apply. I would prefer to have the system do it, but there are simply too many spammers out there. This is the only way to keep the spammers out.
If you want to join, send an email with your username to: firstname.lastname@example.org
I will sign you up and assign a password that you can change when you log in.
BTW, this software has many features, but rather than clutter up the site now, I would rather wait and see what people want.
Currently, you can post messages on group boards, and handle private messages.
